St. Mary’s County Bar Association is happy to report that we have finished our MSBA Day of Service.  We were happy to take part in MSBA’s inaugural Day of Service Event and look forward to participating next year!  Our event was to come together and make 500 homeless hygiene kits for the Three Oaks Homeless Center in Lexington Park, Maryland.  David Weiskopf (St. Mary’s County Attorney) and his wife; Anuj Patel (Deputy County Attorney); Margaret Maupin (Legal Aid); Sandra Jonasen (Baldwin, Briscoe & Steinmetz) and her daughter all packaged the hygiene kits and gave them to Lanny Lancaster of the Three Oaks Shelter.  See attached photos.  The group picture shows Solange Weiskopf, David Weiskopf, Anuj Patel, Margaret Maupin, Sandra Jonasen and daughter.  We thank the members of the St. Mary’s Bar who voted to approve spending  $1,000 on supplies for creating the hygiene kits, as well as Judge Kenney, Judge Abrams, Dennis Hui, Jaymi Sterling, Sandra Strissel, Judge Stanalonis, Marsha Williams, Kathleen McClarnan, Alycia Stack and Samuel Wiest for donating, money, diapers, socks and other supplies.  My apologies if I forgot anyone.

Kudos to the attorney’s that help with today’s Christmas in April event as well, like John Weiner, Kevin Hill and Buffy Giddens, again apologies if I missed anyone. Â
